A cost-effective, higher-loading gas diffusion electrode with 2.0 mg/cm² platinum black, four times the standard loading, on standard carbon cloth with MPL (410 µm). It is used in fuel cells and electrochemical systems that need higher performance than lower-loading supported catalysts can reach. It includes a Nafion post-coat for improved water management and adhesion to the membrane.

Description

The most cost-effective, higher catalyst loading Gas Diffusion Electrode. At 2.0 mg/cm² of Platinum Black, this GDE has 4-times the loading of the standard loading and is used in Fuel Cells and electrochemical systems requiring higher performance levels than can be reached with the lower loadings of supported catalysts. This electrode is perfect for Hydrogen/Air Fuel Cell applications where the extra cost of the higher loading GDE may not be justified. The Gas Diffusion Layer (GDL) used is a standard carbon cloth with MPL, which is 410 microns thick. Made with XT Catalysts.

Includes a Nafion Post Coat for improved water management and adhesion to the membrane.
